Getting started

What is Posimo?

POSIMO stands for Private Offchain Secure Interactive Memory Operator. It is your personal memory companion, bringing photos, stories, voice recordings, people and places together to preserve both your memories and the meaning behind them.

Why a turtle?

Posimo’s smiling green turtle faceTurtles remind us of a life lived over time. Many species live for decades, and giant tortoises can live for more than 100 years. That longevity reflects the idea behind Posimo: a companion that grows with you and helps carry your memories forward. Our turtle gives that idea a friendly face.

How can I try it?

Posimo is in early access. Apply for beta access on the homepage. Features and availability can change during testing.

Is Posimo a social network?

Not in the way you know social media. Think of Posimo as a private social space: your own memories, a family archive, and shared archives with friends. It is about keeping moments together with the people who matter to you.

Main Features

What is the Digital Twin?

The Digital Twin is Posimo’s vision for a digital representation shaped by selected memories and aspects of your story. It is not the person themselves. The concept is evolving; early access does not mean every planned capability is already available.

What is Eternity Mode?

Eternity Mode is part of Posimo’s vision for carrying selected memories and a person’s story forward over the long term. It is an evolving feature, not a guarantee of permanent storage or a replacement for keeping independent backups.

What is AeterCard™?

AeterCard™ is the physical recovery-card concept connected to Posimo’s long-term access plans. It is not a replacement for backing up your memories today. Explore AeterCard™ and how it is intended to work.

Memories & privacy

What can I keep in Posimo?

You can keep photos, videos, written stories and voice moments, and connect them to people, pets and places. Adding context helps preserve why a memory matters, not just when it happened.

Do my memories stay on my phone?

Your local archive lives on your phone. Actions such as sharing, optional cloud backup and online voice features can send the information needed for that feature elsewhere. Local storage does not mean every optional feature works entirely on-device.

Does Posimo use AI?

Some voice and conversation features use AI. Saving or browsing a photo is not the same as asking an AI service to respond. Review the notices and consent choices for the feature you use, especially when it involves your voice or personal material.

Is the archive automatically a backup?

No. Keeping something on one phone is not the same as having a separate backup. In the app’s Storage settings, review your private iCloud backup and export options. Check that a backup has completed before relying on it or replacing your phone.

Can I keep a copy outside Posimo?

The app provides private export and recovery options. Keep exported copies somewhere safe and retain the information needed to unlock them. Exporting a copy does not remove your existing archive.

Sharing & accounts

How is sharing different from the Community?

Memory sharing is for material you deliberately send or make available through a sharing feature. The Community is a separate discussion space.

How do I sign in to the Community?

Open Community in the Posimo app. For a browser sign-in, use the QR code or pairing code shown by the Forum and approve it in the app. Some existing accounts may need ownership verification before they can be linked.

Where do I delete my account?

In app versions with account deletion, go to Settings → Privacy → Account → Delete Posimo account. Read the confirmation carefully: this is a permanent action, not a sign-out button. Save anything you want to keep before proceeding. For help, email contact@posimo.io.

What happens to my Forum posts if I delete my account?

The linked Forum account is removed, while published discussions and attachments remain to preserve the conversation, attributed to “Deleted user”. Personal information written inside posts or quotes is not automatically rewritten. Copies already shared with others and exports saved elsewhere are not removed by deleting the phone account.
