Choose a kit of three or five cards and keep them separately, with people you trust or somewhere secure. Any two of the three cards, or any three of the five, are enough to recover access.

A Life Archive can survive for decades and still become unreachable in a minute. One failed device, closed account, or secret known by only one person is enough. AeterCard™ turns recovery into something you can place in trusted hands before it is needed.
How the kit works

Choose your card kit
AeterCard™ comes in kits of three or five cards. They work together to recover access to your archive. One card on its own cannot open it.
Decide who will keep them
You might keep one card yourself and give others to family members or close friends. Store them separately and let each person know what their card is for.
Help them open your archive
When access needs to be recovered, your loved ones bring together any two cards from the kit of three, or any three from the kit of five. They can recover the key without having to remember your password.

Over the years, a card might get lost or someone may be too far away to help. Your loved ones don’t need every card to recover access to your memories. Both kits leave room for a missing card, while a single card on its own cannot open your archive.
